My Projects
“Crazy Over You” Music Video Cover
My labor of love that took roughly 12 months to create.
What started as a simple dance cover to a BLACKPINK K-Pop music video transformed into a totally immersive personal project culminating in showcasing my abilities to dance, sing & rap, arrange music from violin/piano to viola, design wardrobe, hair and make-up, scout locations for shooting, and assist in the editorial process.
Behind the scenes
TikTok documentation of my study abroad in Seoul
A social media diary of my exploration of South Korea as a foreign exchange student and Korean culture through dance and food.
This TikTok account was a challenging teacher of the social media influencer world and its algorithms. The juxtaposition of the relentless intrusion that gathering content for such posts make on the actual experiences you are trying to have. Not to mention the postproduction work required to: edit, select sound, record voice over, remember to include captions, and choose hashtags that will have “likes” and “shares” traction. Whew! This altered my relationship to social media completely.
YG Dance Crew
Eighteen months after taking my 1st K-pop dance class, I endured a grueling 3.5-hour audition, that included my solo performance of a 1-minute cover of original choreography! Peruse the gallery of me as a member of the YG Dance Crew of Southern California’s San Gabriel Valley. We rehearse 3-6 hours per week; create original choreography for competitions and performances, self-choreograph dances for showcases. Performed in trailer for Chinese film: “One and Only” Directed by Dong Chengpeng. Proud member of the YG Dance Crew of Southern California’s San Gabriel Valley.
Falcon Year
A coming-of-age rite of passage called The Falcon Year at Camp Glen Brook in New Hampshire. Three weeks basically living outdoors in the White Mountains. Canoe trips, backpacking, sleeping outdoors, and a solo 24-hour vision quest in the woods. 100% Technology free.
